Tommy Martinez, 52, of Ft. Morgan, died Tuesday afternoon at his home in Ft. Morgan. He was born October 2, 1957 in Ft. Morgan to Filemeno and Trudy Martinez. He grew up in the Commerce City area, and moved back to Ft. Morgan where he has spent most of his adult life. He was a member of The Sanctuary in Ft. Morgan. He was a volunteer for Caring Ministries and he enjoyed helping others in any way he could. He also enjoyed fishing with his friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Trudy Martinez, of Ft. Morgan; three daughters, Sarah Martinez, Emily Martinez and Amy Buell, all of Missouri; five brothers, David Martinez of Hays, KS, Phil Martinez of Phoenix, AZ, Rocky Martinez of Brush, Jerry Martinez of Greeley, and Johnny Martinez of Texas; two sisters, Erma Martinez of Denver and Diana Oden of Ft. Morgan and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:30 PM at the Sanctuary Church in Ft. Morgan.
