Tony Escamilla, 87, of Ft. Morgan, died Monday at the Valley View Villa in Ft. Morgan. He was born in Texas on May 18, 1921 to Joe and Rita Escamilla. He began working for Wal-Mart when they opened the Ft. Morgan store in January of 2003. He worked up until ill health forced him to retire just recently. He enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with his family and friends. He is survived by his children, Josie Lockman of Sterling, Tony Escamilla Jr. of Cheyenne, WY, Rudy Escamilla of Longmont, Bernard and Alvaro Escamilla both of Omaha, NE, and Mark Escamilla of Ft. Morgan, five brothers Daniel, Rudy, Joe Jr., Abraham, and Sam, five sisters, Eva Flores, Vickie Serrano, Sara Avila, Becky Herrera, and Bernice Herrera, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Leonard, and his parents. Visitation will be held on Friday 2-5 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Sanctuary Downtown Campus in Ft. Morgan. The service will conclude at the Sanctuary.
