Tony Duane Rucker, a man of many talents, endless stories, and a heart always willing to help another, passed away on November 2, 2026, at the age of 76.
Born on July 15, 1950, Tony lived a full and varied life. He was a chef and a truck driver for most of his working years, roles that suited his hardworking nature. A lifelong learner, Tony also earned a degree in computer repair, held a nursing certificate, and proudly enlisted in the military in his youth.
Those who knew Tony best will remember him as a great friend who cared deeply for his family and had a lifelong love for music. He adored his children and grandchildren, taking immense pride in their lives. In his later years, Tony faced dementia with a spirit that brought unexpected joy to those around him. His condition led to hilariously detailed confabulations—including tales of space travel, military exploits, and building or owning nearly everything, everywhere. These stories, though born from his illness, were a testament to his vibrant imagination and remained a source of warmth and laughter for his family.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Watts, and his stepson, Shawn Davis.
He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his daughter, Christa Rucker; his son, Duane Rucker, and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Rucker, along with their children, Harlen and Austyn Rucker; his daughter, Katrina Fogler, and son-in-law, Ryan Fogler, along with their children, Kyle, Hannah, Lilly, and Emma Fogler; and his brother, David Rucker. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and "adopted" grandchildren who were blessed by his love.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Berean Bible Church, 211 W Beaver Ave. Fort Morgan, CO.
