Tracy K. Nichols, 76, life resident of NE Colorado, passed away Friday July 10, 2020, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley following a short illness.  She was born October 30, 1943, in Fort Morgan to Robert & Hazel (Johnson) Jones.

Tracy graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1961.  On October 8, 1961, she married R. Dean Nichols in Fort Morgan.   She was a member of the Sanctuary.  She volunteered with the Morgan County 4-H program for many years serving as a fair superintendent, club & project leader.  She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, canning food from her garden, and reading.  Her favorite time was spent with her family.

Survivors include her 4 daughters, Sheila (John) Kelley of Marion, KS; Shelly (George) Keltz of Brush; Sheryl Nichols of Newton, KS; and DeAnn Jones of Brush; 1 sister, Marilyn Klipfel of Fort Morgan; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; an infant son, Bruce Eldon Nichols; 1 sister Bobbi Saxton and her parents.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 10:30 AM at the Sanctuary in Fort Morgan.  Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Monday from 4 – 6 PM.  Family prefers memorial gifts to the Morgan County 4-H Foundation c/o Heer Mortuary.
