We mournfully announce the passing of Tracy Conklin Spelts, 54, of Brush, Colorado. He entered into eternal life on April 11, 2022. Tracy was born to Janice Hayes and Hershel "Butch" Spelts on August 1, 1967.

Tracy was a force to be reckoned with from the get-go. He attended school in Keenesburg, and ended schooling in Brush, Colorado. After school, he worked hard helping family and had his hand in constructing a dome house. He was also known to get out in the corral and wrangle calves needing to be tagged and nursing bum lambs at all hours of the day. He spent numerous years at Sure Lee Foods processing organic grains. From there, he found his lifelong passion of oilfield work from 1997-2019 employed by Ensign Oilfield Services. As quoted by a long-time coworker, "everybody knew Tracy on the rig". Tracy was one of the biggest jokesters around and on his time off, you could find him with family and friends. Four-wheeling, fishing, BBQing, and teasing nieces and nephews is where he found his enjoyment. We will miss him dearly.

Tracy is proceeded in death by his parents Janice Hayes and Hershel "Butch" Spelts; grandparents, Rachel Hayes and Earl Hayes.

He is survived by sister Cindy Hayes and husband Jeff McCarthy of Walsenburg, Colorado; sister Cathy Segelke of Sterling, Colorado; sister Cristine Reed and husband Dean Reed of Orchard, Colorado; sister Teresa Lanz of Brush, Colorado; and brother Quincy Spelts and partner of Fort Collins, Colorado along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at the Bush Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM with a light meal to follow at the Memorial Park in Brush, Colorado, honoring Tracy's life.
