Velma Herron, 80, passed away on December 23, 2024. She was born on May 11, 1944, in Akron Colorado to Leo and Pauline Graves.

In 1964, Velma married the love of her life, Terry L. Herron. They lived in Wiggins before moving to Hillrose, where Terry worked for Linker Brothers until 1997, after which they relocated to Brush. Velma was a dedicated housewife, and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her time in the country and had a special fondness for animals, especially her chickens.

She is survived by her three children: Kenny Herron (Jamie), Vickie Martinez (Jerry), and Becky LeAnn Ficco (Jay). Velma was also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Wade, Caitlin, Corissa, Melissa, and Chris, and a great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren.

Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Terry, her parents, Leo and Pauline, two brothers, and one sister.

Family services will be held at a later date. Velma will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
