Velveth P. Edson, 97, of Brush, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2007, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. She was born June 28, 1910, in Loyal, OK, to Finis & Matilda Young. In 1928, Velveth married Arthur Edson in Oklahoma City, OK. Arthur died in 1983. In 1990, Velveth moved to Brush, CO to be closer to her son. She was a member of the Kingfisher, OK, United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and canning vegetables, and playing bingo. Survivors include her son, Joe Edson, of Brush, CO; her daughter, Paula Terrill of Horseshoe, NC; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 7 brothers & sisters, and her parents. A memorial service will be held at the All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer in Brush on Monday, October 15, at 1:30 PM.
