Vera E. Florian, 90, longtime Washington & Morgan County resident, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born January 31, 1921, in St. Francis, KS, to John & Winnie Dayton. On April 5, 1937, Vera married Peter J. Florian in Akron, CO. Vera worked as a waitress in various area restaurants for many years. She enjoyed working her garden and flower garden. Survivors include her children, Kenneth of Chicago, IL, Janice Atkins of Brush, CO, John of Filer, ID, Glen of Fort Morgan, CO, Keith of Brush, CO, Starla Johnson of Scottsbluff, NE, and Terry of Gill, CO; 1 sister, Edythe Kloberdans of University Hills, OR; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 1 sister, 3 brothers, and her parents. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 1:00 PM at the All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer. Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
