Verna
Kittelman
Jan 12, 1927 — Mar 31, 2024
Verna Kittelman, age 97, of Brush, CO, passed away on March 31, 2024 in her home with her family by her side. She trusted Christ as her Savior and was ready to go to her Heavenly home. She was born on January 12, 1927, in Burlingame, KS, to Fancis and Olive Milbradt.
Verna married Art Kittelman September 11, 1946. They had two children, Vernie and Sharilyn. She had a successful career running the Brush Cash Auction alongside her husband Art from 1959 to 1985.
Verna loved antiques, garage sales, and scratch tickets. She had a passion for collecting trinkets and sharing them with visitors who came to see her. She also loved cooking big meals for family and friends with homemade noodles being one of her specialties. She had been attending Snyder Bible Church the past few years. And she would tell people to "never fight, laugh a lot, and pray to God".
She is survived by her son-in-law, Larry Blake; grandson Troy (Wanda) Blake; granddaughters, Charity (Mike) Baker and Krista (Herman) Neiman; great grandchildren, Casi (Justin) Gregory, Desiree Neiman (Justin Bohlen), Megan Baker, Wayne (Shelby) Neiman, Brooke (Andrew) Acosta, Wyatt Blake, Madisen Baker, Kody and Colten Neiman; great-great grandchildren, Elijah and Ezekiel Gregory, Jayden Neiman, Xavier Saunders, and baby on the way, Remi and Luca Hernandez, Raelah Neiman, and Micah and Elijah Acosta.
Verna was preceded in death by her husband Art, son Vernie, and daughter Sharilyn.
At Verna's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brush Museum.
The Heer Mortuary in Brush, CO, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
