Vernon D. Bostron, 81, of Brush, Colorado, passed away on April 9, 2015, as a result of complications from Parkinson's Disease. Vern was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on February 20, 1934. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1952.Vern married Linda K. Sexton on November 15, 1959; they were married for 55 years. Vern worked for the State of Colorado for 35 years and had been engaged in farming and small business ownership prior to that. He enjoyed wood working, electronics, photography and fossil restoration for the local museum. He had been an officer for the Colorado Association of Public Employees. He was also involved with his sister's dairy farm as a young man. Vern is survived by his wife, Linda, of Brush and his son, Brian, of Denver. He is also survived by Lydia Bostron, his sister-in-law, two nephews, a niece and many friends. Vern is preceded in death by his parents: John Bostron and Katheran (Frick) Bostron Hein (German-Russian immigrants) and his sister Genevieve (Fred) Wagner and his brother John (Harold). The funeral service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 Custer St., Brush, Colorado on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Sherman Gordius will be officiating. Inurnment will be private at the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Heer Mortuary of Brush, Colorado.
