Vernon "Jerry" N. Wilson, 80, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at his daughter's home in Kersey, CO. He was born March 20, 1935, in Kidder, MO, to Claude & Georgia Wilson.

Jerry graduated from Kidder High School and then joined the US Army. Following his honorable discharge, Vernon married Patricia Dunlap in 1960 in Fort Morgan. Jerry worked as a driller in the gas & oil exploration field.

Jerry loved riding his Indian motorcycle. He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughters and their families.

Survivors include his two daughters, Kim (Paul) Moses of Glenwood Springs, CO and Jeri (Randy) Griese of Kersey, CO; 1 brother Roger of Missouri City, MO, 1 sister, Sherry McLaughlin of Gallatin, MO; 3 grandchildren (Chad, Aspen & Molly) and 4 great grandchildren (Xane, Brayden, Jaymes,& Zoe). He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in 1977, 1 great grandson, Tucker Schippert; 1 sister, 3 brothers & his parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 4, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Sunday from 3 – 5 PM.
