VICTOR R. GARCIA, 77, of Fort Morgan, died Thursday morning, January 24, 2008 at his home. He was born November 17, 1930 in Helena, TX to Emanuel & Francisca (Gonzalez) Garcia. He married Elena Flores. They moved to Fort Morgan from Slaton, TX in 1992. Mr. Garcia was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Slaton. He enjoyed reading, fishing, telling stories, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Elena Garcia; five children, Irma Perez, Gloria Cantu, Hector Garcia, Olivia Campa, and Graciela Garcia, all of Fort Morgan; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother; and a grandson, Adam Perez. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 2 – 6 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Funeral services will be Monday, January 28th at 10:30 AM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Memorials may be made in Garcia's name to the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Fort Morgan. .
