Victoria "Vickie" E. Bass, 87, longtime area resident, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush.

Vickie was born August 8, 1928 in Holcomb, Kansas to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Heile) Rohleder.

She married Llewellyn (Lell) W. Bass on July 7, 1956 in Raton, New Mexico.

Vickie was a member of the Gary Community Club. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, and canning.

She loved her family, especially time spent with and attending events of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Lell, of Brush, daughters, Mary Ellen Dvorak of Brush, Kathey Brandon (Verlyn) of Evans, and Vicki Gutierrez (Ron) of Sheyboygan, Wisconsin, sons, John Bass (Sonya) of Brush, and Jerry Bass (Barbara) of Brush, three brothers, one sister, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild, one brother, and her parents.

Memorial Services will be Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery in the Columbarium.
