Everyone who met grandma Violet has a story to share about her. The unconditional love she freely gave. The stubborn streak that ran strong in her and anybody who ever spent any amount of time with her could recognize it right away. Her sense of humor that would make people laugh, and fall in love with her even more. We all have wonderful memories of her that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. The influence she had over every one of us, and how much she touched our hearts. Her smile would light up a room. She rescued baby dolls from garage sales and gave them a new home filled with grandbabies. She filled our stomachs with peach pies, grebel, chocolate sheet cake, and chicken noodle soup with butter balls. Her colorful blankets and quilts she crafted out of scraps of fabric decorate and warm our beds at night. She adored her grandchildren, and they adored her right back.
