Virgil Brungardt, 75, of Brush, died Saturday morning at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. He was born May 10,1935 to Ed and Catherine (Wasinger) Brungardt in St. Peter, KS. He married Virginia Matson on July 28, 1956. They moved their family to Brush in 1974 when he transferred to the new Sigmans Meat Packing Plant that had opened. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, coaching little league and women's softball and going to the coffee shop. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Snyder Bible Church in Snyder. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Brush; his sons, David Brungartd of Grand Forks, ND and Bob Brungardt of Brush; four sisters, Mary Lusk of Beatrice, NE, Linda Thorne of Thornton, CO, Carolyn Withington and Marilyn Craig, both of Norton, KS; six brothers, Bob of West Fargo, ND, Harold of Byron, NE, Tim of Hill City, KS, Larry of Colby, KS, Ed of Deshler, NE, and Kenneth of Topeka, KS; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Ness; three brothers Marvin, Lo, and Hubert and his parents. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29th from 4-7 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Snyder Bible Church.
