Virgil A. Segelke, 85, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. He was born May 19, 1923, in Hillrose, CO, to Clarence & Luena Segelke. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Virgil owned & operated the Segelke Well Service in Wiggins from 1950 until 1973. From 1974 – 1984 he owned Cattleman's Inn in Brush. On June 20, 1986, he married Linda Witt Pickett in Las Vegas, NV. Virgil was a member of the Moose Lodge of Morgan County and the American Legion Sagebrush Post. Survivors include his wife, Linda of Brush; 2 sons, Gary of Fort Morgan, and Brian of Denver; his daughter, Cherryl Warner of Anderson, SC; a step-daughter, Misty Genho of Brush; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Lloyd, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, and his parents. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 9, at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. The service will conclude at the Mortuary.
