Virginia Lee Walker, 70, died January 26, 2011at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Ft. Morgan, CO. She was born October 2, 1940 in Horace, Kansas to Charles and Doris Pooley. Virginia married Ray T. Walker on June 14, 1957 in Denver. Mrs. Walker enjoyed reading, traveling and taking care of her yard and vegetable garden. She also made jelly and jam. Survivors include her husband, Ray of Ft. Morgan, sons, Tim Walker of San Diego, CA, Michael Walker of Franktown, CO and Steve Walker of Arvada, CO, daughters, Tammy Weeks of Thornton, CO and Michelle Armstrong of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, seven brothers and sisters and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. There will be a family memorial service held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to the Never Forgotten Fund in memory of the students who were killed at Columbine High School. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
