Vivian M. Christensen, 93, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Greeley, Colorado. Vivian was born March 14, 1920 in Denver, Colorado to Sarah and Lee Manny. Vivian graduated from San Diego High School and then from Business School in San Diego. She married Lawrence Robert Christensen in La Jolla, California on June 19, 1937. Vivian and Bob made their home in Fort Morgan, Colorado where they raised 5 children, Jens, Larry, Jean, Bob, and John, all surviving. Other surviving family includes 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, L. R. Christensen, a son, James Fred, and great grandsons, Caleb Graff and Cody Kishimoto. Vivian was active in the lives of her children, and her grandchildren that lived close enjoying their music performances, dance activities, sports events, and family gatherings. She enjoyed playing Bridge, bowling, collecting depression glass and antique bottles. She was an avid fan of the Colorado buffaloes, attending football games for many years. She also enjoyed spending time at their ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming. A funeral service will be Friday, December 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
