Waldroyn "Wallie" Morman, 88, longtime area resident, peacefully fell asleep and stepped into heaven from Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush on September 16, 2015. Wallie was born January 11, 1927, to Wallace & Florence (Mock) Small in Brush, Colorado, and was one of four children born to this union. Wallie attended Brush schools and graduated from Brush High School. After graduation, she married Emmett Pribble and welcomed a son to this union. Later she married Junior Christensen, and to this union, two more sons were born. After the death of Junior, Wallie married Edwin Morman on March 5, 1965. They were the best of friends and met every challenge together until his death in March of 2009. Together they remodeled several homes, raised animals, created masterpieces out of wood, traveled, had deep discussions, and enjoyed life together. In her work life, Wallie worked for Montgomery Wards, First National Bank of Brush, and Mortec Industries. She loved flowers and gardening, canned everything from her garden that she didn't share with friends or family first, and later found a love for quilting. One of Wallie's goals was to create a quilt for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was Wallie's strength and pride and she loved them with all her heart. Wallie is survived by her sons Albert (wife Chris) Pribble and Terry Christensen of Brush. Grandchildren, Mark Pribble of Cheyenne, WY, Kelly Pribble and children Oriyana and Isis of Brush, Matthew Pribble of Brush, Emily (husband Dennis) Struve and children MacKenzie, Parker, Mason, MiKena, and Ryder of Hayesville, Kansas and Brett (wife Lexi) Christensen and children Brynn, Tommy, Kingston, and Charleigh of Topeka, Kansas; brother Wayne (wife Marilyn) Small of Brush, sister Florene Schreiner of Wichita, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews. Wallie was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Small, mother Florence Craig, step-father, Orville Craig, sister Emma Wittner, infant son Danny Christensen, and beloved husband Edwin Morman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 10:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. The service will conclude at the Chapel. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in her name.
