WALLACE EUGENE EWING, 60, of Fort Morgan, died Monday, September 7, 2009 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO. He was born April 5, 1949 in Greeley, CO to Joe W. & Alice (Newlon) Ewing. He grew up in Wiggins, CO and attended Wiggins schools. He married Marilyn Amen in Eaton, CO on July 9, 1977. Mr. Ewing farmed in the Fort Morgan and Wiggins area. He was a member of Wiggins Community Church but most recently he had been attending the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan where he also sang in the church choir. Mr. Ewing also sang with Morgan County Chorale. He was a past member of Wiggins Young Farmers. He and his wife hosted young farmers from Japan, Germany, and Great Britain. Wally enjoyed singing and fixing things. He was a good handyman. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Ewing of Fort Morgan; his daughter, Sarah Ewing of Denver; his parents, Joe & Alice Ewing of Wiggins, CO; two sisters, JoAnn Nelson of Evans, CO, and Virginia Quill of Aurora, CO; and his brother, Gerald Ewing. A memorial service will be Thursday, September 10th at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the church.
