Obituary

Wallace Dean Kracke, 83, died Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his home in Brush. He was born January 28, 1931, in Gage County, Nebraska to Lee Kracke and Johanna (Ulrich) Kracke. He was baptized into the Christian faith on February 15, 1931 at Clatonia Zion Lutheran Church and confirmed on June 10, 1945 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Julesburg, Colorado. Wally had a strong Christian faith and was a very active member of several local congregations. He also enjoyed farming, Husker football, watching western movies, and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his constant smile and sense of humor. He is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Barnes of Sante Fe, New Mexico and Cheryl Lindeman and husband James of Marshall, Minnesota; two sons, Keith Kracke and wife Carol of Weldona, Colorado, and Curtis Kracke and wife Darla of Fargo, North Dakota; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Pudwill and wife Laura, Robert O'Kelley, Kristina Paczkowski and husband Damian, Ryan Lindeman, Kadin Kracke, Jordan Kracke, and Sage Kracke; and three great-grandchildren, Emily, Madeline, and Noah Pudwill. He was preceeded in death by his parents, his brother Virgil Kracke, his ex-wife Doris Kracke, his daughter Linda Loebs, and grandson Kevin O'Kelley. There will be a visitation on Monday, the 15th from 3 until 6 pm at the Heer Mortuary in Brush. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 9:00 am at the All Saints Lutheran Church in Brush. Interment will follow later that afternoon at the Colby Cemetery in Colby, Kansas. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Julesburg, Colorado.
