Wayne Yearous, 73, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. He was born on the family farm northwest of Brush on April 23, 1936, to Walter & Ruby Yearous. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1954. On April 25, 1957, Wayne married Leona Schocke in Fort Morgan. Prior to ill health forcing his retirement, Wayne drove truck for Yearous Trucking. Wayne was a life member of BPOE #1143. He enjoyed fish, camping, and playing golf. His favorite activity was driving his truck. Survivors include 3 sons, Mike of Denver, Vaughn and Mark both of Fort Morgan; 1 brother, Bob Yearous of Fort Morgan; 4 sisters, Eris Salvador of Yuma, CO, Phyllis Weimer, and Pat Jilek all of Fort Morgan and Deb Stokes of Farmville, NC; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A celebration of Wayne's life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 24, at #5 Lakeview Circle in the Blue Sky Subdivision north of Fort Morgan.
