Wanda Rae Hamilton, 84, of Brush, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush with her family at her side. She was born March 21, 1925 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Ray and Jean Daniels. Wanda married Leon N. Hamilton Jr. on December 31, 1954 in Denver, Colorado. They moved from Denver to Ft. Morgan in 1969. Wanda loved her grandchildren and they were very special to her. She enjoyed cooking, reading and crafts of all kinds. She could fix and repair whatever needed to be fixed around the house. Wanda also was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader in her earlier years. When her children had grown, she devoted many volunteer hours with the Red Cross. She also received honors for her years of service as a volunteer at Valley View Villa. Survivors include three sons, Kevin L. Hamilton of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Cory "Ben" Hamilton and his wife, Ann, of Ft. Morgan and Kirby J. Hamilton of Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Joshua, Casey, Scott and Dustin Hamilton, whom she and Leon took on many excursions with destinations unknown. A funeral sevice will be Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 10:30 AM at All Saint's Lutheran Church in Brush. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Ft. Morgan. Memorial gifts may be given in Wanda's name to the Alzheimer's Association or to The Organ Refurbishment Project at Eben- Ezer Lutheran Care Center.
