Obituary

WANDA NADINE THOMPSON, 85, longtime Brush resident, died Saturday afternoon, September 8, 2007 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born October 22, 1921 in Saint Francis, Kansas to Morley & Frances (Balser) Mace. The family moved to Brush nearly 69 years ago. Mrs. Thompson graduated from Brush High School. She married Harry "Cliff" Thompson on September 26, 1941 in Sidney, NE. She worked as a hairstylist for over 50 years before her retirement. Thompson attended Brush United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, dancing, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter Penny Wooldridge & her husband Fred of Fort Morgan; her son, Stan Thompson & his wife Christine of Naples, FL.; two sisters, Maude Larson of Boulder and Barbara Miller of Oregon; and one granddaughter, Nichole Wooldridge. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband Cliff Thompson; her parents; and two brothers, Ward Mace & Willard Mace. Visitation will be Friday, September 14, 2007 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary in Brush. Services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Interment Chapel. Interment will be in the Bush Memorial Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. The Heer Mortuary & Crematory in Brush is in charge of arrangements.
