Wanda M. Wright, 79, longtime Fort Morgan resident, passed away Friday evening, October 19, 2007, at the Overland Park, Kansas, Medical Center following a short illness. Wanda and Jim were enroute to Branson, Missouri with their family to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary when she became ill. She was born April 8, 1928, in Colorado Springs, CO to Charles & Nellie Beverly. On October 4, 1947, she married Jim Wright in Colorado Springs. During her working career, Wanda had worked for the Mountain States Telephone Company, Fort Morgan Credit Bureau, and she retired as office manager for the Centennial Mental Health Center in Fort Morgan. She was an active member of the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Red Hat Club. Her hobbies included playing bridge and other card games, watching football, baseball, and basketball, playing golf, traveling, and crocheting. Wanda especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Jim, of Fort Morgan; 3 children, Doug, of Gilbert, AZ; Nancy Sailsbery of Weldona, CO; and Teresa Lebsock of Casper, WY; 1 brother Don Beverly; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Eldon Beverly, and her parents. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 27, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary on Friday from 4 – 6 PM.
