Warren Begole Parker, 82, of Fort Morgan, Colorado passed away at his home Saturday, November 27, 2021.  He was born April 5, 1939, in Fort Morgan to J. Charles and Lydia (Begole) Parker, Jr.

During WW II, the Parker family moved to Los Angeles, California shortly after Warren was born so that his father could work for North American Aviation building war planes.  The family returned to Fort Morgan when he was three-years-old to work the family farm located between Brush and Fort Morgan.  In 1957, Warren graduated from Fort Morgan High School.  He then worked as a delivery driver for Fort Morgan Furniture.  At the same time he was at the furniture store, Warren owned and operated his custom wheat harvesting business utilizing his Massey-Harris combine.  In 1959, Warren began his career with the U.S. Post Office where he worked in several positions including mail carrier, supervisor and driver trainer.  He retired from the post office on January 1, 2000.

In 1962, Warren took flying lessons from Bristol's Flying Service and earned his private pilot's license. In 1964, he met Olivia Norbye and they were married on June 6, 1965 at Walk's Camp Lutheran Church, Genoa, Colorado.

Warren enjoyed traveling with his family, touring all over the U.S. The biggest trip the family took was to Norway in 1984.  He also enjoyed riding his Yamaha motorcycle throughout Colorado.  Warren had a large collection of classic toy cars, tractors and farm implements; some of which were hand-built.  He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, National Letter Carriers Association and the Studebaker Driver's Club.

Survivors include Olivia, two sons, Brad Parker and James (Jennifer) Parker of Fort Morgan; his grandchildren Cody Parker, Sara Parker, Jena Parker and Joseph Parker; two sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Parker and his parents.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer at 1:30 PM.  Inurnment will follow in the Serenity Falls Columbarium. Those attending the service are asked to wear whatever personal protective equipment they are most comfortable wearing.  Family suggests memorial donations be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
