Waunetta P. Carlson, 93, passed away at her home in Brush on Friday, December 1, 2006. She was born October 24, 1913 in Oshkosh, Nebraska to Oliver and Bertha Hulse. She moved to Morgan County in 1917 with her parents. She married Albert Carlson on January 24, 1945 in Overland, Kansas. They farmed for many years in the Antelope Springs area before moving to Brush when they retired. Waunetta was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and embroidery work. Survivors include two sisters, Gladys Smith and Mae Frazell, both of Commerce City, CO and one brother, Robert Hulse of Burlington, Wisconsin, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and three brothers, Ralph, George and Riley. Funeral services are being held at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 Custer Street in Brush on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Waunetta's name.
