Wayne Scott, 65, Morgan County resident for over 45 years, passed away Sunday, August 27, at the Medical Center of Aurora in Aurora, CO. He was born July 7, 1941, in Palisade, NE to Herbert & Ferne Scott. On December 30, 1977, he married Linda Williams Wacker in Sterling, CO. Wayne worked for the Morgan County Road & Bridge Department for several years until ill health forced his retirement. He was a former member of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Riders "F" Troop,. He enjoyed spening time on his computer, fishing, boating, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Linda, of Snyder; 6 children, Tammy Lester of Canon City, CO, Jean Hopkin of Gill, CO, Debbie Dilka of Wiggins, Chris Wacker of Brush, Matt Wacker of Springfield, CO, and Beki Schroder of Campo, CO; his Mother, Ferne Fox of Brush; 3 sisters, Dorothy Jeffers of Iowa, Bev James of Brush, Janet Rosenfield of Snyder; 4 brothers, Richard of Minatare, NE, Jack of Snyder, Ed of Wallace, NE, and Mike of Fort Lupton, CO; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Father and 2 brothers. A memorial service will be held at the Heer Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. The service will conclude at the mortuary.
