Wendy Marie Steckly was born December 8, 1976 in Denver, Colorado. It pleased the Lord to call Wendy to her eternal rest on June 18, 2019. Wendy attended and graduated from Wiggins High School in 1995. She was blessed with the birth of her only son in 1995. Wendy reached for a career in caring for people and became a Certified Nurse Assistant and an EMT, where her labors of love were put to work for years. Wendy was married to the love of her life and her soulmate, John Steckly, on May 24, 2016. She adored spending time with her beloved family and her cherished pets.

She is survived by her husband John, son Collin (Morgan) Schaefer, mother and stepfather Tammie and Christopher Wick, sister Jody (Josh) Shipman, brother Brandon (Nicole) Harmon, grandchildren Quinn and Nolan Schaefer, nephew Cameron Andrews, nieces Megan and Emily Andrews, Sierra, Aubrey and Joslynn Shipman, Destiny Barela and Bailey Harmon, and her cherished pets Tabitha, Bella, Jasper, Oscar, Shadow and Miss Silver.

Wendy was preceded in death by her grandparents.

​A memorial service in celebration of Wendy's life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Wiggins Community Church, 423 Dickson Street in Wiggins.
