Wilbur "Olie" Dick, 97, longtime area resident, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Colorado Assisted Living in Littleton. He was born December 10, 1909 in West Wheatfield, Pennsylvania to William and Bessie (Mack) Dick. Olie married Ione Sanders on May 21, 1937 in Weldona. They farmed and ranched near Ft. Morgan until his retirement in 2000. Olie enjoyed nightly walks, watching trains, Western movies, horses, horse races and could be seen at a local coffee shop about every morning. He taught his great-granddaughters how to play cards and would take them with him to the coffee shop when they were in town. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Ione Dick of Littleton, one daughter, one brother, two granddaughters, four great granddaughters and three great-great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents and eleven siblings. Graveside Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 10:30 am at Memory Gardens in Ft. Morgan.
