William Lee Ballheim (Bill)

December 5, 1936 – June 5, 2018

Bill passed away June 5, 2018 from complications of pneumonia and kidney failure.

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Dottie) Ballheim, sons; Michael Ballheim of Lansing, Michigan, Randy Ballheim and his wife Sherilynn of Salida Colorado, and step-grandchildren, Cody and Megan Montgomery of Denver, Colorado. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Mark and Edna Ballheim and sister Bea Allen.

After high school Bill enlisted in the Navy for 4 years, receiving an honorable discharge. He then received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and spent 15 years with Motorola in Phoenix, Arizona. After leaving Motorola in 1975 he moved to Brush, Colorado to work on the Hansen's family farm. He then spent several years working residential construction before starting "The Auto Doctors" repair shop, which he retired from in 2000.

Bill was an adventurous traveler always looking for the roads less traveled (also known to family and friends as ("Ballheiming"). He loved dirt and road motor cycling and ATV ing with Dottie and friends, camping, hunting and traveling with their RV. He was always ready to go!

Bill's service will be held at the Life Fellowship Church in Fort Morgan, Colorado on Monday, June 11th at 2:00 pm. There will be a life celebration party at Bill and Dottie's home; 405 Walnut Street in Fort Morgan, Colorado starting at 5:00 pm on Monday. Please join us to tell stories and celebrate Bill's life.
