Obituary

William R. Booher (Bill), 68, Fort Morgan, Colorado, a former Goodland resident and employee of Western Sugar, died Tuesday, June 05, 2012, at Sunset Manor in Brush, Colorado. Bill was born on December 22, 1943 in Hoisington, Kansas to Floyd W. and Edith H. Booher. In 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Sharland 'Jo' Booher; they were happily married for 42 years. They moved from Goodland to Fort Morgan 25 years ago to continue his career with Western Sugar. He had a love for mathematics and science, and was often seen reading calculus and trigonometry books for leisure. He also loved reading and was the most loyal Denver Bronco fan. Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Jo Booher. Survivors include his four daughters, Kathy (Darwin) Dueland and Melissa (Kevin) Tucker, both of McCook, Neb., Sherry (Bret) Booher-Derby of Tappahannock, VA., and Andrea (Doug) L'Heureux of Fort Morgan, CO. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Rudd, of Fort Collins, CO, and his brother, John Booher, of Killeen, TX. Other survivors include nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012,at Heer and Dahl Mortuary in Brush, Colorado.
