Obituary

William "Billy" Bopp, 69, of Fort. Morgan, died Thursday, January 26 at Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. Mr. Bopp was born August 1, 1942 in Denver Colorado to Michael and Anna (Shell) Bopp. He married Patricia Ecklund in February of 1973. They divorced in 1982. He met Zanna Williams and they've been long time friends and companions since then. He worked in the propane business and oil business for many years. He retired from Denver Drilling Company after working there for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan. Billy is survived by, three daughters; Pamela Bopp, Tricia Bopp, Michele Brannam and husband James all of Amarillo, Texas. One sister; Mary Bopp, three brothers; Vernon of Sheridan, Steve of Denver City, Texas and Wilbert of Orchard, nine grandchildren, nephew, Bobby Gabbert of Wiggins and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Michael, John Andrew and Bobby, two sisters; Pauline Gabbert and JoAnne Cook and two grandsons; Cody Bateman in 1992 and Aaron Brannam in 2004. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 3 PM at the Heer and Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude there. His final resting place will be in Amarillo, Texas.
