William Norris Burdette, 83, a long time area resident, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. He was born March 27, 1929 in Comanche, Texas to John Elba & Delia Burdette. He married Johnnie Reynolds on May 29, 1948 in Grand Prairie Texas. Bill was a deacon at the Summit Baptist Church in Wiggins. His passion was fishing and hunting. He loved to travel and enjoyed life. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie of Wiggins, three children; Gaylen Burdette, Michael (Cheryl) Burdette, both of Wiggins and Tawanna (Scott) Ansley of Harrisburg, NE, one sister; Dorothy Jones of Texas, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; John Elba Burdette Jr. and two sisters; Billie Bush and Earline Fletcher. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 1:00PM at the Summit Baptist Church in Wiggins. Inurnment will follow in Hoyt Cemetery.
