CHRISTINA H. WILLIAMSON, 69, died Friday afternoon, June 15, 2012 at the Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan following a lengthy illness. Her husband, WILLIAM D. WILLIAMSON, 73, died Saturday morning, June 16, 2012 after taking ill just a week earlier. Chris was born September 20, 1942 in Julesburg to Raymond & Dorothy Lechman. She attended grade school in Ovid and graduated from Iliff High School in 1960. Bill was born June 5, 1939 in Julesburg to Francis & Gertrude Williamson. He attended grade school in Ovid and graduated from Sydney, NE High School. Chris & Bill married on April 1, 1967. Bill began a Military career in 1959, serving in the Air Force until 1963 and then joining the Army from which he retired in 1981. Bill also worked for Morgan County Road & Bridge Department for over 20 years before retiring. Chris worked for Martin Marietta for a short time before marrying Bill and then she spent her days as a homemaker, taking care of their children. Chris is survived by her siblings, Joe, Greg, Steve, Colleen, Marsha, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Brenda and Paulette. Bill is survived by his brother, Brian; and his sisters, Sharon and Barbara. Chris & Bill were also preceded in death by their two children, Mark and Tanya. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan on Thursday, June 21st from 2 – 6 PM Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 22nd at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
