William E. Ingmire, 82, life resident of Fort Morgan, passed away early Tuesday, December 19, at Valley View Villa. He was born January 3, 1924, in Fort Morgan, to Charles & Florence Ingmire. On December 21, 1941, He married Mabel Troudt in Sidney, NE. On May 8, 1943, He was inducted into the US Army, where he served during WW II until his discharge on November 3, 1945. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was awareded the Good Conduct Medal, the Bronze Service Arrowhead, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, and the WW II Victory Medal. After his discharge, He returned to Fort Morgan where he joined his brothers, Ingmire Bros. Construction, where they were involved in Plastering and Stuccoing many residences & businesses in Morgan County and the surrounding area. He was a life member of the VFW #2551, the Disabled American Veterans Association, B. P. O. E. and was a life long member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mabel, of Fort Morgan; 2 children, Gary of Loveland and Sandra Bauer of Pueblo, CO; 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Noah, Walter, and Herbert, 6 sisters, Alice Venard, Melba Weimer, Eleanor O'Daniels, Bernice Dennis, Cecil Rowell, and Ollie Shaver, and his parents. CHANGE DUE TO SNOW Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 26, at 1:00 PM at the First Christian Church, 225 W. Bijou Street in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. CHANGE DUE TO SNOW Visitation will be at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary on Friday from 2 – 6 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan.
