William D. Jackson, 81, passed away Friday, August 2009, at the East Morgan County Hospital. He was born July 29, 1928, in Seattle, WA, to William S> & Anna Jackson. Bill served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement, Bill was a master electrician. He worked in constructing electric power plants around the country. He moved to the Brush community over 30 years ago. He was married on January 17, 1977, to Alida Santiago, in Mexico. She preceded him in death. Bill was an active member of the VFW, the Moose Lodge of Morgan County, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. In his earlier days, Bill enjoyed fishing, rodeoing, and playing his guitar. Survivor includes 3 children, William R. Jackson of Noblesville, IN, Michael Jackson of Raymond, WA, and Ann Jackson of Portland, OR; 1 sister, Charlotte Goldsmith of Forest Grove, OR, and 3 grandchildren. He also had a special friend, Deana "Charlie" Waldref of Brush. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 20, 2009, at 1:30 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush.
