William "Bill" Prevost, 79, longtime Fort Morgan resident, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

Bill was born March 31, 1936 in Denver to William W. & Ann Prevost. He came to Fort Morgan when he was in his early 20's. He married Carol Mae Griffith in Fort Morgan on April 8, 1964.

Bill & Carol owned and operated South Sherman Gas & Grocery in Fort Morgan for nearly 20 years before retirement. He was a life member of B.P.O.E. #1143, Fort Morgan. He was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed playing golf, softball, and cards. He also enjoyed bowling and going gambling in Blackhawk.

Bill is survived by his wife, Carol Prevost of Fort Morgan; two sons, Billy Prevost and wife, Lorre of North Dakota and Bob Prevost and wife, Kim of Fort Morgan; three daughters, Lori Falicki and husband, Mike of Aurora, Missy Erker and husband, Mike of Fort Morgan, and Val Chapman and husband, John of Fort Morgan; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters, Annette Wagner and husband, Larry of Fort Morgan, Katy Adams and husband, Doug of Denver, and Judy Stevens and husband, Bob of California; and his brother, Bob Prevost and wife, Marsha of Arizona.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sue Minick; and his son, Kevin Prevost.   Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan on Sunday, November 29th from 4 – 6 PM.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 30th at Christ Congregational Church, 730 Ensign St. in Fort Morgan.

Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
