William Larry Vickers, 73, passed away in his sleep on Friday, July 23, 2021.  He was born November 19, 1947, in Brush to Orville & Rose Vickers.

Larry was involved in 4-H and showed steers at the fair during his high school years.  He graduated from Brush High School in 196l  Following graduating he attended Northeastern Junior College and graduated from Colorado State University.  On May 20, 1970, he married Carolyn Cheney in Loveland.  Larry served several years in the Colorado National Guard.

Prior to retirement, Larry was an insurance agent, operating a Farmers Insurance Group agency.   Before his involvement in insurance, Larry was manager of American Fertilizer in Wiggins and had served as Ag Education instructor in Lamar and Fort Morgan.   Larry was a very active member of the Wiggins Community Church.  He enjoyed helping his family and the community with 4-H projects and the Morgan County Fair.  Larry attended the Morgan County Fair every year because he wanted to show his support to the program and what it represents.   His favorite time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of Wiggins; 3 children, Larry (Misty) of Wiggins, Chris (Michelle) of Fort Morgan, and K.C, of Fort Morgan; 1 sister Hazel Vickers; 7 grandchildren Alex (Shawn), Gabe, Amelia, Jathen, Jaren, Peyton, and Gus; 1 great granddaughter Olivia and a great granddaughter, Madison, who will be coming soon.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Wiggins Community Church.  Inurnment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
