WINIFRED DONNA TAYLOR, 95, longtime resident of Weldona, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born December 18, 1917 in DeWitt, NE to Frank and Bernetta (Grantham) Wilkens. She married Harold Taylor on April 3, 1943 in Denver. He died in 2011. Winifred was an accomplished homemaker, seamstress, and loving partner to her husband Harold. She and Harold ran Taylor's Vegetables in Weldona for many years. They sold produce to grocery stores, locally, and had many accounts all over the state. She was a member of Weldon Valley Presbyterian Church in Goodrich. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Linton-Brooks of Weldona; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Larry Taylor; one brother, Lawrence Wilkens and her parents. Graveside services will be at 11:30 AM on Friday, April 26th in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Memorial donations may be made to Weldon Valley Presbyterian Church. The Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
